Dream. Believe. Achieve.

School Council

Hello from Bryn Celyn School Council. Usually the Council is made up of pupils from all year groups, however due to current restrictions, this year the school council are nominated pupils from year 6. We aim to help make the school a better place and do this by listening to the children's opinions and suggestions. We have regular meetings where we discuss issues that affect the children of Bryn Celyn and try to find ways to improve our school.

We attend Governing body meetings and share our progress with the Governors, we also give school assemblies to the children.

This year we have produced a power point that aims to encourage pupils to attend school every day. The power point was shared throughout the school. We gave a virtual presentation to the Governing Body where we shared our latest initiative- making the school entrance a safer place. You can see the video below.

Our next initiative is the SNAG (School Nutrition Action Group). We will be encouraging children to make healthier lunch choices.

Our final project involved submitting an application in the hope of getting a Grant from a Welsh company to build seating areas around the trees in the KS2 playground area. If we are successful we will be asking parents and staff to help us! Fingers crossed and watch this space!

We hope to make our school a healthy, happy and safe learning environment. ‚Äč
